Welcome to the Fire Vehicle Preservation Group Scotland website. The group was formed in 2006 however our members have been involved with the restoration and preservation of fire appliances for many years. Our membership is made up fo serving, retired and ex-fire service personnel in addtion to other professions.
Our aim is to preserve and restore fire appliances so they can be displayed and enjoyed by the public. We believe this will form an important part in preserving the heritage of the Fire Service in the UK. Our vehicles can be seen throughout the year at various historic rallies, fire service related events as well as Fire Station open days. Traditionally, this is normally restricted to the 'summer' months so as you can imagine 2012 has not been a busy year !
